Job Description

A full-service outsourced manufacturer of Class I, II and III electro-mechanical capital equipment to the medical device industry is looking to hire a shipping/receiving clerk. 
                                      **Please note this is a direct hire opportunity**


Essential Functions:


Receiving:


 Primary responsibility for receiving of all incoming shipments, processing and warehousing of same.


 Receives all incoming inventory materials and processes require documentation per procedures.


 Receives all incoming non-inventory materials, performs inspection and processes required


documentation per procedures.


 Responsible for adherence to receiving and quality control procedures.


 Responsible for warehousing of components after incoming inspection release.


 Responsible for processing Material Transaction Requisition Forms for the issuance/receipt of materials.


 Coordinates internal distribution of supplies and non-inventory materials.


 Provides assistance to Purchasing and Accounting in resolving discrepancies.


 Maintains required documentation and files in the Receiving Department.
Shipping:


 Primary responsibility for shipping out-going freight and maintaining finished-goods warehouse.


 Picks, packs and ships all orders according to procedure requirements.


 Completes documentation for freight carriers.


 Provides assistance to Billing Department.


 Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


 Some lifting required, up to 50 pounds.
Manufacturing Support (by Receiving, Shipping or Handling Clerk):


 Performs cycle counting.


 Maintains stock room organization.


 Performs BOM (Bill of Materials) work order kitting.


 Responsible for issuing components by work order for process assemblies.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:
 Minimum High School Diploma or GED and or 2 years experience within the manufacturing industry related to shipping and receiving of products.


 Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, and procedure manuals.


 Ability to manage priorities and schedules.


 Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).


 Experience with Shipping software (UPS, FedEx, etc.)


 Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.


 Ability to analyze and solve problems.


 Ability to work with others collaboratively.


 Strong organizational skills.
Preferred:


 Medical device manufacturing experience


 Bilingual skills a plus
