Job Description

CoWorx Staffing is looking for a Qualified Technical Writer for a very successful Manufacturing facility in Agawam, MA.

This position is a Part-time (3 days per week),Temp to Perm assignment

(possible Direct Hire)

Job Details include but not limited to:

  • Knowledge transfer.
  • Apply strong team work and team communications skills to all tasks.
  • Work as an integral part of the marketing team to understand the goals/objectives of the project to prepare supporting product documentation.
  • Help develop internal plans to introduce new products in new markets.
  • Prepare promotional literature for trade shows and to promote sales through our network of distributors.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Perform other tasks as needed for the implementation and support of the organization’s information and communications systems.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, end users, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity and attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize activities to meet program deadlines and goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including patience, clarity of communications, and commitment to team approaches;
  • Experience authoring and editing end user technical documents that address internal and external customer requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems and escalate complex matters to a supervisor or colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Create tutorials to help end users set-up and troubleshoot complex control systems.
  • Must be a proactive self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
  • Relevant industry knowledge of the industrial diesel and gas engine market is desirable.
  • Multi-lingual individual desired.

Education and/or Experience

A degree in a technical field such as electrical or mechanical engineering, or 5+ years of experience preferred.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a related industry such as engine manufacturing, industrial equipment, generator packaging, vehicle controls etc. as well as customer facing roles in technical sales, application engineering or customer service.
