Job Description

Shift: 3:25pm-1:55am, Mon-Thur OT required on Friday and Saturday The preferred candidate has previous stand up/reach truck experience and has also worked in a warehouse environment picking with RF scanners.

SUMMARY Weigh Up Tech weighs out raw materials to be mixed for lotion production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Weighs chemicals accurately and efficiently using proper PPE and safety equipment.

Accurately measures chemicals in kilograms

Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with all methods of control and labels chemicals accordingly.

Systematically maintains accurate inventory system for all chemicals.

Maintains cleanliness and proper organization of weigh up area.

Processes IPR’s (internal product requests).

Conducts lab weigh ups as requested by R & D.

Assists with cycle counting of raw chemicals as needed.

Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices.

Acts as back up for Mixer as dictated by business and personnel needs.

Assists with training new weigh up techs.

Assists in other areas as needed.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and    procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

May require Forklift Certification.
